Wedding Flowers Price Guide – A Friendly Guide from a Sussex Wedding Florist

If you’re planning your wedding in Sussex or the surrounding areas, one of the first things you’re probably wondering is: “How much do wedding flowers cost?” It’s such a common question, and the honest answer is that it depends on your style, your favourite blooms, and the scale of your celebration.

As a wedding florist based in Sussex, I’ve created this simple price guide to help you understand what to expect when setting your wedding flower budget.

Bridal Party Flowers

Your bridal bouquet is usually the star of the show – the one piece you’ll hold as you walk down the aisle, and a keepsake in so many of your photos.

Floristry service charge

When you book me as your wedding florist in Sussex, you’re not just paying for the flowers themselves – you’re also investing in the care, skill, and time that goes into creating them.

Alongside the flowers, there’s also a floristry charge, which is 20% of your flower cost. This covers:

  • My time designing and creating your arrangements

  • Preparing and conditioning each stem so it looks perfect on the day

  • Sourcing the best quality flowers from trusted suppliers

  • Delivery, set-up at your venue, and pack down afterwards if needed

For larger weddings, I may also need to bring in extra florists or assistants to help create your flowers and set everything up on time. Their costs are included within your quote, so there are no hidden surprises.

This way, you know that whether your wedding is intimate or a big celebration with lots of installations, I’ll always have the right team in place to make sure everything runs smoothly

What Affects the Price of Wedding Flowers in Sussex?

  • Seasonality: Some flowers, like peonies, are only available for a few weeks in late spring and early summer, which makes them more costly.

  • Scale: A large bridal party or a big venue with lots of tables naturally needs more flowers.

  • Style: Loose, garden-inspired designs often require more stems and texture, while simpler arrangements may use fewer but premium blooms.

My Top Tips for Making the Most of Your Wedding Flower Budget

  • Reuse arrangements where possible – for example, ceremony flowers can often be moved to your reception.

  • Choose seasonal blooms – they’re usually fresher, more abundant, and better value.

  • Stay flexible – if a specific flower isn’t in season, I can suggest beautiful alternatives that achieve the same look.

How Much Do Couples Spend on Wedding Flowers in Sussex?

On average, my couples in Sussex spend between £1,500 and £3,500 on their wedding flowers. Smaller, more intimate weddings often cost less, while larger celebrations with floral installations and statement pieces may be more.

Remember, your flowers aren’t just decoration – they create the atmosphere of your day, fill your venue with colour and scent, and feature in so many of your wedding photographs.
